[closed] wow what the fuck happened there

Who: Jess Jones ([personal profile] sobriquette), Dorian ([personal profile] devintered), Cayde
([personal profile] exorion)
When: Various
Where: Various
What: A couple of closed prompts; I'm gonna add more in a bit for people I owe things to but I wanted to get this up so I wasn't horribly backdating too much.

→ Cayde
[There's a tree in the middle of the city that stops time and all Jess wishes is that she were more surprised by the damn thing that she is. Sure, it's weird, but after everything else she's experienced in the last two weeks, a time-stopping tree might not even make it to the top of the list. Top five, definitely, but the whole time travel thing is a lot more strange and unsettling overall.

But she's still curious, despite the weirdness, so Jess has a pile of small pebbles and is trying to work out the edge of the time dilation by tossing the pebbles forward and watching them fall.

It's boring, but relaxing, and when she hears someone approaching she looks… reasonably chilled out when she turns to see who it is. She's still on edge from all the bullshit, from Luke going missing, but she's trying to stay steady, at least for other people.]
Hey.

[She might've been annoyed at the interruption, since she prefers to be alone, but Cayde is an alright dude.]

→ Dorian
[In all honesty, Jess's favourite thing about the city is that there's hundreds of different buildings for the group to choose from, unlike being stuck around a single bonfire, or camping out near the hull. Everyone sticks together, sure, but If Jess wants some time alone (and she often does) it's easier to wander off and find a mostly intact building to sleep in. It's also nice to have real, proper shade without the power drain that came from the hull.

When she hears someone walk past, her first though is to just ignore it, at least until she hears the familiar sounds of retching, at which point she sighs. Her desire to not deal with anymore bullshit doesn't quite overpower her urge to help people, and Jess gets back to her feet to go looking.]

You alright out here?
