[closed] I go and lie down where the wood drake
Who: Max Briest (
thephix), Kara Zor-El (
highflights), Clark Kent (
anewhope)
When: Day 13 or 14
Where: Underground lake
What: Excavating an old robot
[This place is already forcing Max to operate outside her usual parameters, both in how she thinks (alternate universes) and in how she's acting, because there's no room to be coy or hide too much, if it could mean life or death. The idea of… telling someone about her powers is completely outside her comfort zone, but she's found something deep in the lake that could be useful, and her secrets aren't worth dying out here on this desert planet.
And she needs help from someone stronger than her; whatever is buried deep in the lake is too heavy for herself alone. She goes with her first thought for assistance, which is Kara, since she's far stronger than Max. The lake of oxygen might be somewhat awkward, but Max can make it work.
Most of the searchers, as Max has dubbed them, seem to stick together so it's simple enough to head for "camp" to search for Kara. It takes her a little while, and when she does finally spot her, Kara isn't alone. It makes her paus for a moment, in case it means telling two people what she can do, but… it's still worth it.
With a steadying breath, Max approaches.]
Kara, Clark, hello again.
[Pleasantries first, even if they're boring.]
