Who: everyone!
When: Day 6
Where: everywhere!
What: regrouping after the event
Well, the swarm is over and the queen has died. What are you doing now, friends?
Heading back to the boneyard to regroup? Staying at the queen's carcass to harvest meat and pearl things? Staying maybe to heal if you're banged up? Or maybe you're arguing with others over what to do.

[She gives a helpless shake of her head, because her guilt for not having spotted him is now crushing her. If he stayed behind to help, shouldn't she have seen him? ]
I've no idea what happened to him. I'm sorry.
[She isn't sure if she should offer to go back and look for him, given the fact that splitting up seems like a horrible idea right about now. But she can't very well just leave him out there.]

[Everyone scattered doesn't matter when it's Luke, he wouldn't have left anyone undefended, he's too much of a good person for that, so there's no way he wouldn't have been in the middle of the fight. He wouldn't have scattered. Which means he must have gotten hurt, badly, or worse.
And just like that, there's a hollow space in Jess's chest, filling up with panic and the memory of Luke, unconscious in her bed.]
You left him.
[For someone that usually runs hot, Jess's voice is ice cold, the accusation clear.]

He doesn't sound like he needs a keeper, if you chose to leave him back with us.
[It's pointed out gently, because she doesn't feel that she lost anyone that she doesn't even remember meeting in the first place. It wasn't even her choice to move forward and head this way, but she knows that Jess won't care or want to hear that. She knows she sure as hell didn't, when she was lashing out at someone for losing someone she cared for.]
There weren't any bodies left back at the boneyard. Not ones that didn't belong to the spiders that attacked us. He wasn't there.

Then where the fuck is he?
[How could they lose someone in the endless stretch of sand?]
