[ Clark blinks the furious heat from his eyes, letting it water before he brushes his fingers over them. Then he finds himself squinting at the newly drawn symbols in the hopes that he would be able to parse both the alien text and his translations before giving up. ]

Enter what, exactly? [Her thumb comes up toward her mouth as she anxiously bites at it while she's thinking things over.]

Is it an invitation, do you think?

[Without a full translation of things, it makes speculation difficult.]

I don't think so. Maybe there's a command that needs to be inputted. Or directions.

[ This is the cockpit after all. Clark idly wonders if their last coordinates were saved somewhere - or if there was a beacon on this ship that called out to the others. ]

[It feels like even with the advantage he offers them, they keep muddling through things in circles.]

It's times like this that I actually miss the Doctor's sonic screwdriver. It'd be able to figure things out without any work at all.

I saw the word "warning" and "cancel" as well. That's about it.

[ His eyebrows knit together in confusion. ]

How would a sonic screwdriver manage that?

I don't know. He's never explained to me how it works. Just shown me that it does, on everything that isn't wood.

[She shrugs, looking just as confused as she does now that she's actually trying to explain the sonic to someone.

Moving to sit down in the chair, she glances down to see that her feet aren't even touching the floor. Her legs kick a little as she looks around, trying to find anything useful that they can grab or use.]

Do you want to keep trying things here, or should we move on?

I think we should leave this place alone for now.

[ A little dry. ] I don't want to accidentally blow us up or send us hurtling through space.

Well, if we managed the second, at least we wouldn't be trapped here any longer.

[Always need to look on the positive side of things, after all.

Moving to slip out of the chair, she makes her way over toward the door.]

I want to explore deeper inside the ship. Do you think you'll be able to make it?

[ He nods. His power levels are still steady after finding the pearl, which he keeps clutched in his hand. ]
