[ There's no hesitation in wanting to comply with Inui's request, though he's eyeing the metal box warily. ]

Well unless you see a key or something hanging around. [ Clark please, this place has been abandoned. What's a little exploratory theft? ]

[ He sighs before pressing down on the box lightly. It breaks open neatly, the sides collapsing. ]

AFTER HASTILY FIRING OFF SOME QS TO THE MODS...

[ And as Clark does the whole thing...pretty much crumbles. But hey! There's stuff inside right? A bunch of small plastic figures that look like...

Huh. ]

...Are those plastic monsters? [ Space dinosaurs, to be precise. ]

[anewhope]

[ Clark delicately picks one up. ]

I — they appear to be?

[ Inui crouches down and carefully picks one up to inspect it and...yeah, wow. These look like tiny plastic alien dinosaurs or monsters or something. ]

Sooo...We found alien collectables?

[anewhope]

They're . . . cute.

[ Clark dangles them thoughtfully. Perhaps there were families on these ships. Children. His heart aches. His parents hadn't had the time to put anything else in the pod, not with Krypton's imminent destruction looming over their heads. He clears his throat, looking away. ]

Should we leave them here?

[dateme]

Well they're not especially useful... An' I don't feel like stealing some dead person's toys. [ Inui shrugs. ]

Let's look for other stuff.

[anewhope]

We don't know if they're dead.

[ But Clark does leave them there. ] Where to?

[dateme]

Well, there's plenty of panels and stuff. Let's see if we can find anything. [ Clark, please don't jinx them. ]

[anewhope]

I'm not keen on breaking the ship.

[ At least not yet. It could be an option later. ]

We don't need to break 'em unless they're stuck though right? It looks like they've got handles. Let's peek in a few, come on~

[anewhope]

All right. Which one?

[ Clark is reluctant to take ownership here. It's been a while since he's made a decision and it hasn't backfired on him spectacularly. ]

[ It's okay. Inui's used to taking charge and pushing people along into things. It's what he would have done to Tobari back home if he hadn't woken up in an alien vessel without warning like this.

And prodding Clark along is fun. ]

How about the big one? It doesn't look like it's been opened yet.

[anewhope]

[ Clark nods quietly, pressing his hands down on the bigger box. He feels unnerved, like they're defiling someone else's home but there's no way around it. ]

[ If he's like this over some alien ship that hasn't been touched in who knows how long, Inui would wonder how Clark feels about archaeology in general. But--since that's all internalized and Inui's more keen to see what's inside, he'll wait for Clark to peel back the panel before he goes peeking around inside and finds a....well, he's not exactly sure what it is. But it looks like a drill gun, and it glows. ]

Whoa...

[anewhope]

[ Clark only gives it a glancing look, completely uninterested. ]

You might as well take it.

[ He has no need for drill guns and weapons. ]

You sure you don't want anything? [ He doesn't mind sharing, though he supposes if Clark can shoot laser beams from his eyes he really has no use for any of this stuff. ]

[anewhope]

No. It . . . doesn't seem right for me to take anything.

[ And even if he did, he wouldn't keep it. ]

We should only take what we need to survive.

[dateme]

You're really not into this huh... I mean, everyone here is long dead as far as it looks like. They don't need this stuff anymore and we sure as heck could use a leg up on being in a desert of death.

[anewhope]

Even if they are, it doesn't belong to us.

[ and Lex's involvement with Kryptonian technology is still fresh in his mind. Taking Zod's key and ship to create Doomsday. To twist Clark's world and turn it against him. ]

My people are long dead too.

...That make you the last then? [ he asks, and then ofc Kara joins the game like 3 days later ]

[anewhope]

[ He shrugs loosely to deflect attention from the truth he had just given. ]

As far as I know. And I don't know a lot about them.

That must really suck... You're all alone, and now you'll never know anything about where you came from! [ Inui should be the poster child for awful ]

[ Clark is silent at that.

Then he picks up the drill and hands it over to Inui. ]
