[ The Ruined Hull has been unlocked! The go-team has been in the area for a while, the stay-team members who are so inclined have probably meandered over here somehow by now -- time to go exploring, but keep an eye on those suit power levels ♥ ]

[ Baww... Inui's parents probably worked, or at the very least his dad wasn't around and his mom cooked. But who knows because CANON. It's still a nostalgic flavour for him though and he idly reaches up to tug at one of the pear-looking fruits as he thinks of the best way to describe it. ]

Kind of tough? Like celery but firmer. You usually cook it up and then eat it when it's just a little soft, and shave it into thin bits. It's got a very rustic kinda flavour. [ if that makes any sense. ]

[ Lance wants pizza, and garlic bread, and ropa vieja. It's not just his mom who cooks, either--he's got a big family, so most of the siblings take turns. There's always something going, even if it's just pasta or rice with beans...great, now he's homesick. ]

The heck is a 'rustic' flavour? [ He does get it though, even if he's making a big show of scoffing. Speaking of food from home, he looks at the pear Inui's inspecting. Pears aren't remotely native to the Carribbean, but it's not like they're absent from the market--besides which, he wouldn't mind some fresh fruit, right about now. ]

Like potatoes and eggplants and stuff I guess. I dunno how to explain it, burdock is just...burdock to me? [ Inui tugs until it snaps off and brings it up to his nose to give the fruit a brief sniff, but it's pretty odorless at the moment.

So he holds it out to Lance. ]

What do you think? Looks like you could eat it doesn't it?

[ Lance takes the pear, then frowns. ]

You want me to eat this? [ To the tune of: 'how stupid do you think I am?'

Looks good~ Right? Almost like a normal Earth-pear. [ Hitn hint wanna eat this for me bro, you've been so-so helpful up til now with the Kharids and the plant juices ]

Hahaha! Okay, okay~ [ He may be awful but he isn't entirely unfair. Inui pulls the pear back, fiddling with it in his hands. ]

...At least my colour scheme will match Ashla's. Or I'm suffocating. So do something okay?

[ He can't help the little shadow that flits over his features when he realizes Ahsoka hasn't told Inui her real name; it's a weird feeling, of two 'friends' being strangers to each other. Whatever, he tells himself, it's her business who she hands out her name to. Besides: this is probably gonna be fun to watch. ]

Besides, basic first aid is part of our pilot training. You're in good hands.

You're a pilot? [ He kind of...vaguely recalls something or other about Lance mentioning that, but it hadn't really stuck in the wake of killer bugs from space and freaky alien ships. he keeps forgetting that Lance really is more used to this sort of thign than him.

He seems so...normal. Like the other guys in his class. It's weird being reminded he's anything but your standard young adult. ]

[ He's a little puffed out. What can he say? He's proud to strut out his status. ]

That would sound more impressive if I didn't know you. [ JUST TO BE CLEAR. Because it does sound impressive, he just has also seen Lance in action....and he drools a lot.

But yes. Inui brings the pear up and readies a bite. ]

But yeah guess that means it's bottom's up, so Inui will steel himself a moment or two before he goes and takes a bite out of the fruit--and immediately makes a face. Because holy crap that's sour??? He's used to pickled plums but holy crap. ]

What do you mean, 'whoa'? It's not toxic, is it? Man, you took a big bite, too...!

[ Fussing, he moves closer to Inui, grabbing the other boy's face to make sure there isn't any swelling or strange spots going on. ]

[ Aww....Lance that's oddly sweet?? And it makes Inui blink for a moment even as he keeps chewing until he can get the stuff down. ]

No, it's not... It's just super sour. I doesn't taste like poison. [ Can you taste if something's poison?? Who knows ]

[ LOOK, he went through a lot of effort to keep you alive, he's not gonna let you kick the bucket from some fruit! ]

[ It's oddly...not dorkish of Lance, and that's probably why Inui has no problem coming over to sit down beside him, yawning a little as he leans back on his hands. ]

Pretty crazy that we're in an actual alien spaceship, huh?

[ Lance is about to answer 'sort of, not really', when he remembers that to Inui, it is pretty crazy.

Which makes him realize that, yeah, it is definitely pretty crazy. ]

Y'know, not too long ago, I didn't even think aliens existed.

Ashla's my first. [ Inui nods to acknowledge Lance, looking up at the ceiling as he inwardly hopes whatever he just ate doesn't melt his insides. ] I always sorta pictured them looking like monsters, you know? But she's actually pretty cute.

[ The corners of Lance's mouth curl up, and he lets himself flop next to Inui, looking up at the leaves of all the trailing plants. ]

Right? Some of 'em do look pretty gross [ thats so racist ] but the movies weren't kidding about space babes. Have you met Allura? Tall, dark skin, pointy ears with white hair? Totally gorgeous. And Ashla...man, you think she's into me?

[ Nobody's into you, Lance. ]

I thought she was an elf, [ Inui admits with a blink, glancing over briefly before he follows Lance's gaze upwards and look idly at the sunbeams streaming down. It's remind him of a zoo if it weren't for the metal hull bit. ]

I don't think Ashla's interested in anyone though... Too bad. I'd date her. [ Just saying. But he's willing to date any girl so long as they're cute. ]
