Open to all!

Who: Inui ([personal profile] dateme) & ALL OF YOU
When: Day 3, eclipse/evening
Where: Boneyard
What: IT'S TIME FOR A POW-WOW aka we built a fire

[ So it's been a rough couple of days (literally, just two). But between nearly being blown up, marching through the desert, and generally just never wanting to see desert again, there is one good thing Inui (and Lance) have discovered: those Coral plants? Can be cracked open and eaten!

So as the sun vanishes behind the rocky formations or the moon(s), fellow interlopers might notice a distinct & nutty aroma wafting through the boneyard. Tracing it to it's source isn't hard though: Inui and Lance have started up a rather sizeable camp fire from the remains of some of the bones near the vague center of the massive grave. There they've cracked open large stalks from the coral and are roasting the mealy insides over the flames.

They've stockpiled quite a bit and have yet to cook all of it, so anyone and everyone is free to stop by and either help or take up a stalk of their own! Heck, maybe there's already people gathered there!

Whatever the case, it's a good way to kill some time, right? Maybe you've got a ghost story or a survival plan you want to share with the group? No really does anyone have a plan we could really use a plan ]

[ ooc; THIS POST IS OPEN TO EVERYONE AND EVERYONE! Feel free to make your own starters/sections, threadjack like crazy, and just generally get to mingling. The cooked Coral stalks taste like almonds and shouldn't be poisonous!.

HAVE FUN ]

Interestingly enough ... I told him as much. But all groups do need leaders and followers. He seems comfortable enough with being among the latter. [It might not sound like she's discrediting him. The words themselves don't amount to "he's useless" in typical vernacular.

But that is what she means.]

Clearly, though I doubt you take offense to what is apparent.

[And at least he's gathered food. That's something.]

Under most circumstances, I would agree. [And yet—he's here. Yes, he had a starter pack, so to speak. But he's here.]

How have you lasted this long? [It isn't a matter of doubt: it's a matter of recognizing method. (And seeing if anyone covered his ass this long.)]

[With Lexa, everything is a long, slippery slope with no fun at the bottom. Which is apparent when she says:] Or perhaps you were kept alive for some other purpose. [She studies him for a moment. Oh, no, she's not foolish enough to believe he's important. He could never be. But perhaps he's meant to be utilized elsewhere.]

But purposes can be miracles depending on how you see it.

So, it's more of a fact that you're able to inspire others to rescue you. [Probably because he's so helpless, so ...

It makes sense.]

Ah, Clark. [Lexa actually doesn't know that it's spelled differently than the name of her Clarke, but there's a long moment where she ruminates on it.] It may be something about the name itself. There are two here, you know. Two Clark(e)s. They're both determined to save people even if it hurts them in the process.

We may only be bystanders to that desire.

My Clarke is a woman instead of a man. [Yes, that is a bit of a possessive claim on Clarke. Lexa is how she is.]

And unable to shoot lasers from her eyes. I suppose we're fortunate that the male Clark is so willing to overextend himself to help others.
