What: IT'S TIME FOR A POW-WOW aka we built a fire

[ So it's been a rough couple of days (literally, just two). But between nearly being blown up, marching through the desert, and generally just never wanting to see desert again, there is one good thing Inui (and Lance) have discovered: those Coral plants? Can be cracked open and eaten!

So as the sun vanishes behind the rocky formations ~~or the moon(s)~~, fellow interlopers might notice a distinct & nutty aroma wafting through the boneyard. Tracing it to it's source isn't hard though: Inui and Lance have started up a rather sizeable camp fire from the remains of some of the bones near the vague center of the massive grave. There they've cracked open large stalks from the coral and are roasting the mealy insides over the flames.

They've stockpiled quite a bit and have yet to cook all of it, so anyone and everyone is free to stop by and either help or take up a stalk of their own! Heck, maybe there's already people gathered there!

Whatever the case, it's a good way to kill some time, right? Maybe you've got a ghost story or a survival plan you want to share with the group? ~~No really does anyone have a plan we could really use a plan~~ ]

Reapers. If we manage to survive getting off this rock, I'll tell you the story sometime. For now, any experience with this kind of environment?

I've been on desert planets before, sure. I'm familiar enough with the basics. Though I can't say I've ever been dumped on one with no idea how I got there and limited food and water.

With exploding pods. Doesn't make any more sense the more I say it.

Mmm. It doesn't make sense if you assume that the pods exploding was courtesy of the people who sent us here. On the other hand...

It's clearly important enough to send all of us after it, whatever it is.

So why wouldn't there be someone else after it?

It didn't look like the pods opened properly, they'd been left around to be scratched up for a while. I don't think this was supposed to be our wake up call.

Something went wrong here. Too bad we don't know what 'right' was supposed to look like. Something to do with the Atlas, maybe.

My question is-- why not just search for it themselves? And if it's so valuable, why do they think we aren't just going to take it for ourselves?

Good questions. I can't wait until we find the person with the answers.

It'd have to be the first person to wake someone up, right? The pods don't open without sentient contact.

If someone here was working for the people who sent us, they either would've said so by now, or they aren't going to reveal it at all.

[Of course, she could use the Force to detect who's lying... but that seems like a waste of her suit's power when they're in an inhospitable environment like this. Who knows when she might need it.]

I wouldn't like to think so. But I wouldn't rule it out as a possibility, either.

Don't take this the wrong way, but... I don't think either of us are very good at being discreet. I don't want to cause a panic.

You really think people will panic over something like that? I mean...if nearly exploding doesn't scare them then a spy's not that big a deal is it?

Or it could be something else happened. Some fail safe triggering in one pod before the others. No need for a witch hunt yet, though getting to know everyone is a good idea.

Aww... But that's way less exciting. [ Come on can't there at least be a super-cool spyhunt at least in theory? It doesn't need to be in practice! ]
