Open to all!
Who: Inui (
dateme) & ALL OF YOU
When: Day 3, eclipse/evening
Where: Boneyard
What: IT'S TIME FOR A POW-WOW aka we built a fire
[ So it's been a rough couple of days (literally, just two). But between nearly being blown up, marching through the desert, and generally just never wanting to see desert again, there is one good thing Inui (and Lance) have discovered: those Coral plants? Can be cracked open and eaten!
So as the sun vanishes behind the rocky formationsor the moon(s), fellow interlopers might notice a distinct & nutty aroma wafting through the boneyard. Tracing it to it's source isn't hard though: Inui and Lance have started up a rather sizeable camp fire from the remains of some of the bones near the vague center of the massive grave. There they've cracked open large stalks from the coral and are roasting the mealy insides over the flames.
They've stockpiled quite a bit and have yet to cook all of it, so anyone and everyone is free to stop by and either help or take up a stalk of their own! Heck, maybe there's already people gathered there!
Whatever the case, it's a good way to kill some time, right? Maybe you've got a ghost story or a survival plan you want to share with the group? No really does anyone have a plan we could really use a plan ]
[ ooc; THIS POST IS OPEN TO EVERYONE AND EVERYONE! Feel free to make your own starters/sections, threadjack like crazy, and just generally get to mingling. The cooked Coral stalks taste like almonds and shouldn't be poisonous!.
HAVE FUN ]

[It's just some light flirting, no harm done.]

[ It's easy to fall into simple banter, though Clark rarely does it with anyone. ]
no subject
[Eyebrow arching, she gives him a little nudge. But keeps a respectful distance away, so she doesn't make him uncomfortable.]
no subject
It's a little new to me, but I'll get used to it.
no subject
Good to know I'm something you'll get used to.
[And with that, she moves to stand up.]
Think I'm going to walk some. You can come if you like.
no subject
Bad wording on my part. Sorry.
[ He looks her over. ] Are you sure? You did get hurt earlier.

[She still has hope that she might recognize any cluster of them as ones she's seen and traveled among. And the walk over to said skull isn't necessarily that long, but with a hurt leg, it's distance enough. Not to mention the climbing.]
no subject
Let's move away from the crowd. I can get you up there.
no subject
I'm hoping I'll be able to recognize a cluster so I can pinpoint which star system we're in.
[She's bustling with energy, even as she takes walking slow. ]
no subject
I'll need to hold you. Is that all right?
[ Ever the gentleman. Clark would always ask first unless it's an emergency. ]
no subject
Better than all right.

They arrive at the top of the skull mere moments later. Clark gently disengages his grip, stepping back. ]

[There's soft laughter as she pulls away, moving so she can sit down directly in the center of the skull. Her legs are reclined outward as she leans back on the elbow of her good arm, and she looks up toward the sky. Her other hand pats at the spot next to her, inviting him to sit at her side.]
Even if I wind up not recognizing any of them, the stars are so beautiful up this high.
no subject
I used to look up all the time. Hoping for . . . something.
no subject
[She admits, speaking softly like someone may overhear. Her eyes never leave the stars, and eventually all of her energy settles and she's left calm.]
I was hoping for a way to see them up close. And a way to see the world. Guess I should've been careful what I wished for. Now I'm stuck on an entirely new planet.
no subject
I can't imagine what that's like.
no subject
Maybe you can lead the rest of us, who are still learning what it feels like.

[ Though his parents had wanted him to be. Jor-El had high hopes and Clark had been touched by them. The sun is out of sight, but he can feel its strength close by. ]
And I'm still learning.
no subject
[Her eyes go back up to the sky, and she falls still and quiet as she tries to memorize the stars here.]
no subject
[ He still doesn't. Everything fell apart so quickly. Clark garnered confidence in himself . . . but even now, it feels weak, on shaky foundations. ]
no subject
[She speaks almost as if she's detached herself from Earth in some ways.]
I'm not sure you can make it right. You just have to keep showing them that there's nothing to be afraid of.

Someone else will. Not me.
