What: IT'S TIME FOR A POW-WOW aka we built a fire

[ So it's been a rough couple of days (literally, just two). But between nearly being blown up, marching through the desert, and generally just never wanting to see desert again, there is one good thing Inui (and Lance) have discovered: those Coral plants? Can be cracked open and eaten!

So as the sun vanishes behind the rocky formations or the moon(s), fellow interlopers might notice a distinct & nutty aroma wafting through the boneyard. Tracing it to it's source isn't hard though: Inui and Lance have started up a rather sizeable camp fire from the remains of some of the bones near the vague center of the massive grave. There they've cracked open large stalks from the coral and are roasting the mealy insides over the flames.

They've stockpiled quite a bit and have yet to cook all of it, so anyone and everyone is free to stop by and either help or take up a stalk of their own! Heck, maybe there's already people gathered there!

Whatever the case, it's a good way to kill some time, right? Maybe you've got a ghost story or a survival plan you want to share with the group? No really does anyone have a plan we could really use a plan ]

The Sith don't have any kind of formal academy. A being that thrives on chaos and selfishness isn't suited to a group structure. Instead, a Sith is made usually one of two ways. The first is that they used to be a Jedi that fell from the Light. The second is that they were kidnapped as a youngling by a Sith master.

They travel in groups of two-- no more, no less. A master and an apprentice. Always. The master torments the apprentice, feeding off their anger and fear-- it makes both of them stronger. When the apprentice gains enough mastery to kill the teacher, then they become the master.

Whoa. [ That's a freaky system. It's also a lot to parse at once. ] So, let's recap: there's this thing called the Force—which I guess is what Allura calls 'Quintessence'—and some people can...control it? And if they're like, good, they're called Jedi, and the bad ones are called Sith. The Jedi train at the Temple, and the Sith train by...murdering each other?

And you're a Jedi.

[ He looks at her, squinting vaguely. Did he get all that? ]

... No. I'm not.

But the rest of it is about right.

You're not...yet?

[ He's fishing. What detail did he miss, in all that? ]

Padawans are considered Jedi too.

I left.

[ ...oh. Small detail. ]

How come?

[resnipstance]

[She rubs the back of her neck awkwardly.]

It's a really long story. ... And it doesn't matter now, anyway.

[ceruleo]

[ He shrugs. ]

Sounds messed up. [ The whole...system tbh, not the circumstances of her leaving. ] So what does that make you now?

[resnipstance]

[She leans back and crosses her arms, thinking. She isn't really sure herself.]

... Nothing, really. I'll never really be a civilian-- I tried that, when I left. It... didn't end well. But I'm not a Jedi, either.

I guess I'll let you know when I find out.

[ceruleo]

[ He huffs out a breath, amused by her reply. ] You'll figure it out. Isn't that what these kind of "grand adventures" are for?

[ He has an armload of bones now, and he motions back to the fireside with his chin. ] Let's head back. [ A beat. ] We could totally still use my excuse, you know.

[resnipstance]

[She doesn't know what to say to the first, so instead she just rolls her eyes and shakes her head with a smile.]

... I like mine better.
