Open to all!
Who: Inui (
dateme) & ALL OF YOU
When: Day 3, eclipse/evening
Where: Boneyard
What: IT'S TIME FOR A POW-WOW aka we built a fire
[ So it's been a rough couple of days (literally, just two). But between nearly being blown up, marching through the desert, and generally just never wanting to see desert again, there is one good thing Inui (and Lance) have discovered: those Coral plants? Can be cracked open and eaten!
So as the sun vanishes behind the rocky formationsor the moon(s), fellow interlopers might notice a distinct & nutty aroma wafting through the boneyard. Tracing it to it's source isn't hard though: Inui and Lance have started up a rather sizeable camp fire from the remains of some of the bones near the vague center of the massive grave. There they've cracked open large stalks from the coral and are roasting the mealy insides over the flames.
They've stockpiled quite a bit and have yet to cook all of it, so anyone and everyone is free to stop by and either help or take up a stalk of their own! Heck, maybe there's already people gathered there!
Whatever the case, it's a good way to kill some time, right? Maybe you've got a ghost story or a survival plan you want to share with the group? No really does anyone have a plan we could really use a plan ]
[ ooc; THIS POST IS OPEN TO EVERYONE AND EVERYONE! Feel free to make your own starters/sections, threadjack like crazy, and just generally get to mingling. The cooked Coral stalks taste like almonds and shouldn't be poisonous!.
HAVE FUN ]

I'll help myself later. How about you?

[Her nose wrinkles up and she makes a disgusted face, giving a quick shake of her head.]
Besides, I don't have powers like you do. I don't need to eat.
no subject
[ At least. He's fairly sure they would all need to eat. ]
no subject
I'll eat eventually. I'm just more concerned about you right now, that's all.
no subject
[ Until recently, but no one needs to know that. But Clark gets where she's coming from so he amends his statement. ]
I promise.
no subject
I'll get us something. No arguing.
no subject
Yes ma'am.
no subject
I don't think it's poisoned, so it should be safe.
no subject
I think it's worth the risk.
no subject
It tastes like finally reaching rock bottom.
no subject
Really? I don't think it's all too bad.
[ Granted, Clark had been dead not long ago. ]
no subject
If you don't think it's that bad, I'm subjecting you to being my soufflé taster once we reach civilization.
no subject
I have low standards for rock bottom. But I'd love to try your soufflé.
no subject
Has anyone ever told you that you're ridiculously charming?

[ Most people don't know him well enough to notice. ]
no subject
[It's easy to tease him a bit, even as she fishes for information.]
no subject
[ He glances at her. ] But I was talking about someone else. Her name is Lois. She had a way with words.
no subject
Whoever she is, she sounds brilliant.

[ In his hands, not long ago, was a ring. A promise. He never got to tell her. She knew, because he put it into quiet, trembling words before the end, but there had been so much more, so much love he wished to pour into his breath. ]

[It's said quietly, after she's observed him for a few drawn out moments. A sad smile stretches its way across her face, and in that instant she feels a deep pain at the fact that she's separated from the Doctor. He hasn't even tried to find her here, which means he likely isn't able to.]
A good someone, don't worry.
no subject
[ He smiles at her, unperturbed. His somber mood is still present, but no longer cast overheard. ]
Who is this someone?
no subject
[She answers him softly, glancing down at the last bit of food remaining in her hands.]
His name's the Doctor. And before you ask, he's an alien from a planet that doesn't even exist anymore, and I have no idea why he picked that name.
no subject
What - What planet was it?
no subject
Gallifrey. Why?
[It's not really too hard to piece things together, and she scoots a little closer to ask him:]
What planet are you from?
no subject
[ Hope, brief as it is, dies all too quickly. Though Clark should be relieved. The last Kryptonians were not kind to Earth. ]
It was destroyed long ago.
