What: IT'S TIME FOR A POW-WOW aka we built a fire

[ So it's been a rough couple of days (literally, just two). But between nearly being blown up, marching through the desert, and generally just never wanting to see desert again, there is one good thing Inui (and Lance) have discovered: those Coral plants? Can be cracked open and eaten!

So as the sun vanishes behind the rocky formations or the moon(s), fellow interlopers might notice a distinct & nutty aroma wafting through the boneyard. Tracing it to it's source isn't hard though: Inui and Lance have started up a rather sizeable camp fire from the remains of some of the bones near the vague center of the massive grave. There they've cracked open large stalks from the coral and are roasting the mealy insides over the flames.

They've stockpiled quite a bit and have yet to cook all of it, so anyone and everyone is free to stop by and either help or take up a stalk of their own! Heck, maybe there's already people gathered there!

Whatever the case, it's a good way to kill some time, right? Maybe you've got a ghost story or a survival plan you want to share with the group? No really does anyone have a plan we could really use a plan ]

The . . . Norse God? I didn't think those would wear capes or masks.

He's got a cape.

[No mask, but that doesn't really matter; it's the idea of the thing, superheroes.]

According to the gossip, he's an alien, too.

[ How does an alien get named Thor? ]

I don't know of any others. I grew up on Earth. I didn't even know I was one until much later.

[That's weird, but okay.]

We got a whole invasion, seems like that's what happens when there's superheroes running around.

[anewhope]

[ For a brief moment, Clark recalls Zodd. His expression is pensive. ]

Who invaded?

[sobriquette]

Shit, uh...

[Give her a moment to recall the name, because she really didn't give a shit about the whole thing. All that mattered to her was that Trish was okay.]

Chitauri? Something like that.

[anewhope]

[ His shoulders relax a little. ]

I can't say I've ever heard of them. Or Thor. Sorry.

[His reaction doesn't escape her notice, but Jess doesn't feel the need to question it. He's worried about something from his own... version of Earth, or whatever.]

You wanna tell me where you're from?

[She's curious, mostly, but she won't press the issue if he'd rather not share.]

[ He looks at the fire. Finally he replies. ]

Krypton. You wouldn't have heard of it.

[He's right about that, although it doesn't necessarily mean anything. She isn't exactly an astronomer.]

There's a reason you were on Earth.

[It isn't a question, but he can answer it if he wants.]

[anewhope]

[ Clark seems bemused. ]

The same reason anyone else is there. Mine isn't anything special.

[That sure is a non-answer, but she can take a hint when one is given.]

Jessica Jones.

[Her name, since they never actually... exchanged them.]

[anewhope]

[ Clark shifts the coral onto his right hand and holds out his left. Shaking hands is what he does. ]

Clark Kent. Despite the circumstances we're in, I appreciate your candor.

[Okay, cool, they're shaking hands. Jess can do that.]

Most people don't.

[Appreciate her candor, but she sounds more amused about it than anything.]

[ His grin is more pronounced. ]

I don't think any of us here are "most people".

I noticed that, it's probably why we're here.

[People with powers are more interesting than regular humans.]

[ He pauses. ] I think it's a ship. Or an ark.

Of the Covenant?

[Her tone is a little amused though. She doesn't think they're actually meant to be looking for the ark of the covenant.]

[anewhope]

[ He acknowledges the joke with a raising of his eyebrows before he continues. ]

There used to be ships ferrying people across the galaxy. Looking for suitable colonies. Krypton did it long ago.

[Dumb jokes aside, she does actually listen to Clark.]

If they want us to find shit for them, they could've left a little more information.

[anewhope]

[ Clark nods. ]

They could have. Though it's also possible that they didn't get the chance to. I don't think these suits - or our pods can receive signals.

[sobriquette]

Did they run out of paper?

[It's sarcastic but also like - they could have left a damn note.]

[anewhope]

[ Clark does not seem bothered by the sarcasm. ]

Not every place has trees. They might have been something else - some piece of technology we haven't figured out yet that has a complete message.

[sobriquette]

You mean like those pods that exploded?

[Since so far that's where the majority of the technology seemed to be.]

[anewhope]

[ He nods. ]

There might have been something there that we missed.

[ Like his key that Clark once used a few years ago. ]
