What: IT'S TIME FOR A POW-WOW aka we built a fire

[ So it's been a rough couple of days (literally, just two). But between nearly being blown up, marching through the desert, and generally just never wanting to see desert again, there is one good thing Inui (and Lance) have discovered: those Coral plants? Can be cracked open and eaten!

So as the sun vanishes behind the rocky formations or the moon(s), fellow interlopers might notice a distinct & nutty aroma wafting through the boneyard. Tracing it to it's source isn't hard though: Inui and Lance have started up a rather sizeable camp fire from the remains of some of the bones near the vague center of the massive grave. There they've cracked open large stalks from the coral and are roasting the mealy insides over the flames.

They've stockpiled quite a bit and have yet to cook all of it, so anyone and everyone is free to stop by and either help or take up a stalk of their own! Heck, maybe there's already people gathered there!

Whatever the case, it's a good way to kill some time, right? Maybe you've got a ghost story or a survival plan you want to share with the group? No really does anyone have a plan we could really use a plan ]

[Shepard smiles a little bit at the banter going between the younger guys- humanity always does find away. Then, once it seems clear they're off on their own world, looks back at Ashla.]

Shepard. Alliance military. I'm not familiar with your species.

I'm familiar with humans, but I can't say I've heard of anything calling themselves the Alliance.

Ever heard of the Mass Relays?

[Most of the people she'd talked to had not, making her question a few things about this whole situation.]

They allow inter=system travel in my galaxy. If not, we might be from different ones. Makes me all the more curious about whatever species it was that brought us here.

No, sorry. How does it work? We use hyperspace for inter-galactic travel.

Turns out they were traps left behind to destroy all organic life. Free tech always comes with a price.

[Shepard flashes her a wry smile.]

But I'm no engineer. Even with the blue prints in front of me I could only give the basics. Still, I'll settle for any kind of ship we can find on this rock.

[She shakes her head.]

I'll say. This place is a total dustbowl...

Reapers. If we manage to survive getting off this rock, I'll tell you the story sometime. For now, any experience with this kind of environment?

I've been on desert planets before, sure. I'm familiar enough with the basics. Though I can't say I've ever been dumped on one with no idea how I got there and limited food and water.

With exploding pods. Doesn't make any more sense the more I say it.

Someone went through a lot of trouble to get us here. There must be something to find.

Mmm. It doesn't make sense if you assume that the pods exploding was courtesy of the people who sent us here. On the other hand...

It didn't look like the pods opened properly, they'd been left around to be scratched up for a while. I don't think this was supposed to be our wake up call.
