Open to all!
Who: Inui (
dateme) & ALL OF YOU
When: Day 3, eclipse/evening
Where: Boneyard
What: IT'S TIME FOR A POW-WOW aka we built a fire
[ So it's been a rough couple of days (literally, just two). But between nearly being blown up, marching through the desert, and generally just never wanting to see desert again, there is one good thing Inui (and Lance) have discovered: those Coral plants? Can be cracked open and eaten!
So as the sun vanishes behind the rocky formationsor the moon(s), fellow interlopers might notice a distinct & nutty aroma wafting through the boneyard. Tracing it to it's source isn't hard though: Inui and Lance have started up a rather sizeable camp fire from the remains of some of the bones near the vague center of the massive grave. There they've cracked open large stalks from the coral and are roasting the mealy insides over the flames.
They've stockpiled quite a bit and have yet to cook all of it, so anyone and everyone is free to stop by and either help or take up a stalk of their own! Heck, maybe there's already people gathered there!
Whatever the case, it's a good way to kill some time, right? Maybe you've got a ghost story or a survival plan you want to share with the group? No really does anyone have a plan we could really use a plan ]
[ ooc; THIS POST IS OPEN TO EVERYONE AND EVERYONE! Feel free to make your own starters/sections, threadjack like crazy, and just generally get to mingling. The cooked Coral stalks taste like almonds and shouldn't be poisonous!.
HAVE FUN ]

I get it. Your secret's safe with me, Ashla.
[ The corner of his mouth curves up despite himself. It feels nice, being trusted. ]

[ She bends down to pick up another piece of wayward bone. ]
Now you really do have to help me collect stuff, or it's going to look suspicious.

We could always tell 'em we were making out instead.

Ugh. Never mind. I'll pick them up myself.

[ No it wasn't. Still, Lance bends obediently, picking up more bones and scarce, dead plant matter. He can't help but think on what she'd told him, about the Empire, and the Force. There's a moment of silence between them before he starts again, more hesitant. ]
When you were unconscious, during the landslide...you talked in your sleep. [ He lowers his voice as he rises back up, at least somewhat aware of their voices carrying with nothing in this desert to block them. ] You called out for your Master. Were you like, in school or something?

[She blinks a moment, slow and unsure. Like she's processing that, and considering how to answer. Ever cautious.]
No... I mean, I suppose-- in a way? But not in the traditional sense. I was an apprentice. But I haven't been in classes or anything since I was fourteen, if that's what you mean.

[ Math: not Lance's strong suit. ]

Sorry. Small misunderstanding. I was sent to the Temple when I was three. Most Jedi begin around that age. We had classes every day, but it was still considered training.

Look, being a Jedi means something specific. It's not like-- being able to do mathematics. It's more like... being a mathematician. There are lots of people who can do maths who go on to other professions.

Wow I did not get this notif thanks Obama
Let me put it this way. A Jedi uses the Force only ever to serve others-- never themselves. They dedicate their lives to maintaining order and justice. Their strength comes peace-- inner and outer. A Sith is the opposite of that. A Sith uses the Force to serve only their own needs. They grow stronger by feeding on chaos and hatred. Anger, pain, despair... all of those, too.
So, you tell me.

[ He doesn't really get it though, not really. ]
Does it have to be one or the other?
