Well, the swarm is over and the queen has died. What are you doing now, friends?

Heading back to the boneyard to regroup? Staying at the queen's carcass to harvest meat and pearl things? Staying maybe to heal if you're banged up? Or maybe you're arguing with others over what to do.

[ He peers down, face crinkling. ]

You wanna go down there? [ (unsure) ] Fine, I guess...ladies first.

[ Of course he takes the bait. ]

Uh, no. You wanna watch my six?

[ There's a quirk in his brow that lets her know just what he means by 'his six'. ]

[LANCE PLEASE.]

What's there to watch?

[ rude as hell??? ]

Wow. I'm wounded, Ashla.

[ He's no Beyoncé but he isn't flat like Keith!!!! ]

[She can't help it, she gives little chuckle.]

I'm confident you'll make a full recovery.

[ He's going first. Hook, line, sinker, etc. ]

[As he goes down, she comes to the edge to peer over and watch him, making sure he lands safely.]

[ He does! Land safely, that is. Nobody said anything about gracefully, though.

Yeah that...sure is an impressive faceplant. ]

[She calls down just to make sure:]

Are you okay?

[She might be snippy, but she's not mean.]

My face hurts. [ A beat. ] Can you come down and kiss it better?

[ He's fine. ]

[She jumps down after him with ease and lands on both feet as easily and lightly as a cat. Show off.]

[ Who's the jealous one, again? ]

[She peers down.]

Wow. Yeah, I'll say. ... What do you think it is?

No clue. Guess we're gonna find out...

[ Actually taking point. Gulp. ]

Is that...some kind of ship...? Are you seeing this?

It... could be. If it's a ship, though, it's been here a while...

[Enough for that much sand to pile on top of it.]

We don't know that. How long does it take for sand to pile up out here?

[ It's some kind of container, for sure, wether or not it's a proper ship will become obvious as they look inside. ]

We should be careful...we don't know what's in there.

I agree. You should stay behind me.

[ A pause. ]

Wait. What happened to me going first?

[ He says that, but he's totally stepping behind her, no questions asked. ]

That was joking around. This is serious. We don't know what's in here.

Don't need to tell me twice. [ Except she did??? Literally?? ] Lead the way, Miss Jedi.

Hmmmm. [She knocks a few times on the wall nearest to them, trying to use the vibrations to sense the space around them.]

I wish we had more light in here. I think there's a large chamber up ahead and to the left, though. Let's head that way.

[She leads on.]

[ He follows along, actually watching her six, nearly walking backwards in trying to see as much as he can. ]

Do you need me to like, sing again...? [ He's asking totally seriously. They should avoid going blind. ]

Well, if you don't mind, I wouldn't say no...

[In the meantime, she knocks on the nearby wall again.]

Ah. Careful. There's some kind of debris on the floor here. [She picks her way over it carefully.]

[ Stepping over the debris as instructed, he clears his throat and again, holds that long note. ]

[ Their steps echo. There really isn't anything in here... ]
