[ The Ruined Hull has been unlocked! The go-team has been in the area for a while, the stay-team members who are so inclined have probably meandered over here somehow by now -- time to go exploring, but keep an eye on those suit power levels ♥ ]

She's quick on her feet.

[ Especially for someone who professes not to give a damn. Clark walks purposefully, taking in the sights. This isn't his first foray in an alien spaceship but he always finds himself dwelling, absorbing whatever he can. ]

What do you want me to find?

Well... Mostly I just didn't wanna come in here alone. You don't have to help me find anything in particular? But I mean if those sweet eyes of yours can find anything useful that's totally okay with me.

[ Inui's smarter than to walk into an abandoned, ruined ship that drains power from the suits keeping them alive alone. He's already seen people do it (Anakin) and he's not keen on being possibly lost down here until he dies.

Plus? It's creepy as hell and having Clark around helps. ]

[ Clark would like to avoid making any promises. He's limited enough as it is without people thinking he's . . . well, Superman. ]

I'm hoping if we can find some more words or writing, we'd have a better idea of how to use the ship.

What good's that gonna do u...ohhh, right haha. You kinda-sorta understand that now don'tcha? [ Assuming he's been listening in on Clark and the message situation??? Or sharing his with him ]

Bits and pieces. Nothing concrete.

[ He shrugs loosely. ] But every little bit counts.

Still more than the rest of us. [ he still doesn't quiet get why Clark can do it, but hey. Whatever gives them a leg up right? Especially now that they've got this massive thing to explore, Inui's hand tracing one of the walls idly as they come to an intersection where he takes a moment to search for the marks jess left. ]

--Okay. We take a right here, and it should be on out left. I remember that wall panel there being open. [ he points to the indicated area of the wall near the floor to their right. ]

[ Clark doesn't either and all his theories seem to lead him to darker thoughts, his heritage sbearing down on him. ]

Huh. Maybe someone else got to it first.

[ He takes a closer look at it. ]

Maybe? Not a big deal. I just hope they remembered to stock up. I'm at 36% so far, how're you holding up? [ As in, it took more than half his suit power to get to this point already. ]

[anewhope]

Not too bad. I haven't needed to use a lot of my power in here.

[ For Clark, keeping track of his powers is easy. It's part of his every day life. He's too powerful to open a door without breaking it, to walk at a normal speed. They are aspects he had to train himself into learning, until it's second nature. ]

Cool. Keep an eye on it though okay? At 10% we should charge up. [ Inui says that and then sees the door he's been looking for, a steady mist creeping out from the opening and spreading across the floor. ]

--Here we go. Mist room.

[ This time, he steps in front of Inui to open the door. Just in case. ]

Yeah, check it out-- [ Inui motions for Clark to follow him into the Rusted Room where mist covers the entire floor, falling off of the power core in the middle of it ceaselessly. Kind some sort of smoky rover. ]

Looks like this is the power core.

[ He had never seen anything like it. Clark's eyes were wide as he took it all in. ]

It doesn't seem badly damaged. What made them crash?

Power failure? [ he's joking mostly, what with the whole ship being completely unresponsive. But it would be pretty spot-on if it were. ] Or a malfunction. Weird that we haven't found any bodies yet.

You think it's really been that long since stuff went south here?

[anewhope]

It's hard to tell with some ships. The one I came into contact with was older than entire ancient civilizations. It was in decent shape.

[ Just on the lowest vestiges of power. Clark had been in the process of re-purposing it when Zod arrived and once that happened, he abandoned it. ]

...Wait, you serious? [ Clark you really need to fill him in on all the deets here. He's blindsided by all this new info you keep dropping. ]

It was hidden in the Artic. Krypton had sent ships all over the universe to find other habitable planets. Potential colonies.

[ He lapses into silence. Clark had never spoken about these things before and he finds himself surprised that those were his words. ]

Isn't Krypton, like, the name of an actual element in the periodic table? That's a crazy coincidence that your planet's the same. [ Mildly off-topic, but that's Inui. ]

Lucky you though. Got any experience with this sorta thing?

It's not related.

[ He gets the feeling he'll be fielding a lot of those questions from Inui. As to his query, Clark simply shakes his head. ]

If I had my old key, perhaps. Otherwise, I wouldn't know.

...? [ Inui looks over to give him a quizzical look. ]

What does a key have to do with alien tech?

It had an AI implanted in it. That was the quickest way to get access to a ship.

[ He still wished Jor-El had made more of them. ]

So the AI did the alien stuff, not you. Makes sense if you thought you were human the whole time you were growing up. [ No parent aliens to teach him to...alien, he supposes. ]

[anewhope]

Up til I was fourteen or so.

[ When he rescued a drowning bus. A few parents had come up to the house, saying it's god work. Smallville was a small town, small community. Aliens is not the first conclusion they would jump to. ]

Like I said, I know very little about . . . aliens.

Too bad, that woulda come in handy here. [ Inui shrugs, moving over towards the power core and looking up at it as it casts blue light across his face. ]

This is the sorta thing you only see in comic books.

[ Clark pauses before replying, steady. ]

Let's hope it's as neat as it is in comic books.

[ Because the reality is very different. ]
