Open to all!
Who: Inui (
dateme) & ALL OF YOU
When: Day 3, eclipse/evening
Where: Boneyard
What: IT'S TIME FOR A POW-WOW aka we built a fire
[ So it's been a rough couple of days (literally, just two). But between nearly being blown up, marching through the desert, and generally just never wanting to see desert again, there is one good thing Inui (and Lance) have discovered: those Coral plants? Can be cracked open and eaten!
So as the sun vanishes behind the rocky formationsor the moon(s), fellow interlopers might notice a distinct & nutty aroma wafting through the boneyard. Tracing it to it's source isn't hard though: Inui and Lance have started up a rather sizeable camp fire from the remains of some of the bones near the vague center of the massive grave. There they've cracked open large stalks from the coral and are roasting the mealy insides over the flames.
They've stockpiled quite a bit and have yet to cook all of it, so anyone and everyone is free to stop by and either help or take up a stalk of their own! Heck, maybe there's already people gathered there!
Whatever the case, it's a good way to kill some time, right? Maybe you've got a ghost story or a survival plan you want to share with the group? No really does anyone have a plan we could really use a plan ]
[ ooc; THIS POST IS OPEN TO EVERYONE AND EVERYONE! Feel free to make your own starters/sections, threadjack like crazy, and just generally get to mingling. The cooked Coral stalks taste like almonds and shouldn't be poisonous!.
HAVE FUN ]

CAMPFIRE TALK
attn everyone: jess is an idiot
If anyone gets it in their heads to take off the suit, don't.
[That's it, that's her very thorough warning.
Time to leave.]

Something happen~?
[ he will follow her if he needs to ]
no subject
[Like, yes of course something happened, obviously she doesn't just magically know what happens when someone tries to take their suit off.]
no subject
[ But why not Jess!! Why not. ]
no subject
[If he wants a ten page report then he's out of luck. She figured her warning was pretty self-explanatory.]

[He'd guessed based on the power display, but someone's experience is better than his best guess.]

[She's used to working in very small circles of people who usually just take her word for things.]
no subject
[Fingergun.]
I figured there was some kinda life support in here, what with all the humans and how this don't look like a real hospitable planet. [He looks at his wrist display — almost back at full power thank god — and frowns.] No helmets on these things though-- wish I knew how they worked.

There's no oxygen tank either, but it's keeping us breathing somehow.
[Which is her way of saying that she has no fucking clue, either.]

[Jessica strikes Lexa as a person who likes to be abrupt. She's met many men and women like that in her time, but they do require more information rather than less.]
no subject
There's no breathable air, do the math.
[Butttt she still doesn't see the point in describing the whole thing in detail. "Don't do it because you'll die" is enough in hr books.]
no subject
[Even if they are literally relying on an unknown power source.]
no subject
[Maybe not Lexa, someone without powers, but to Jess it sure doesn't feel like the suits are helping all that much.]

[He can't eat these dumb stupid plants, but the warmth is nice. Cayde's sitting near to it, fiddling absently with hunks of metal and wire to try and put together a solution for carrying all these makeshift knives other than "surprise his hands are full of knives".]
Reminds me of this time my ship crashed on Mars.
[That's it that's the whole story.]

Whoa, awesome haha! Did you guys decide to do that yourselves or was that a human-thing?

[He looks at Clark, and then up at the sky.]
Until now, anyway. What about you?
no subject
[ That's all he can say about it. Even though his father had filled in some blanks, Clark can't say he has extensive knowledge on where Krypton is. ]

Eventually, he summons enough courage to scoot closer. ]
What happened on Mars?
[ It's funny; he's visited a whole bunch of solar systems by now...none of which have been his own. Visiting Mars sounds like a trip. ]

I was supposed to be getting intel on the Cabal, they wanted to know more about this Valus who was wrecking shop fighting with the Vex. Easy run, I've done hundreds like 'em: Get in, watch, send my observations back to the Tower. Maybe make off with something shiny if they've got anything.
[He's gesturing emphatically with one of those 'knives' as he talks, very animated like he's addressing an audience bigger than Lance.]
They must've pegged me as a Guardian, 'cause they shot me down right over the wastes. Got my Ghost yelling in my ear about how they took out the transmat, so I tell it to stand by for resurrection and climb out on the hull, hoping I can jump out before the ship crashes and I wake up to an army coming to see what all the ruckus is about.
[He leans back a little, suddenly very sedate now the action part of the story is over.]
Woke up in the desert an hour later. No ship, no sparrow, and no way to contact the Tower.
no subject
So, uh. I got like...half of that?
[ He got the gist of it, maybe. He manages a sheepish smile. ]

It takes about two seconds, guys. This isn't great.]
Anyone tried venturing out yet?
