What: regrouping after the event

Well, the swarm is over and the queen has died. What are you doing now, friends?

Heading back to the boneyard to regroup? Staying at the queen's carcass to harvest meat and pearl things? Staying maybe to heal if you're banged up? Or maybe you're arguing with others over what to do.

Look at her! [ He motions towards the Queen and her massive bulk. ] Who wouldn't be scared?!

[ He catches his assumption, then makes to correct himself. ]

I--I mean, not that you were scared, but she's gigantic! Of course you'd get caught up in that kind of situation!

... I wasn't scared for myself. But I was scared that someone else would get hurt.

Same diff. You did what you thought was right, and everyone's still around to talk about it.

[ A beat. ]

And isn't that the important thing?

Thousands of Jedi fought in the Clone Wars because they were doing what they thought was right. They even saved a lot of lives. But that doesn't mean it was right. It was wrong.

My intentions don't magically make everything better. I have to be more careful.

No, I mean--you helped everyone make it out safe! You're the one who said all of us staying in one piece was the most important thing.

[ He sighs. He's pretty terrible at this, isn't he? ]

... Hmm. Perhaps I should take the Lance approach instead?

[ She doesn't feel it. Not at all. But she recognises Lance is trying to cheer her up. So the least she can do is change the tone of the conversation. ]

[ He gestures to say 'go on, try again'. ]

[The blue stripes on her lekku seem to darken somewhat.]

Yeah, well-- [she seems to flounder, unable to come up with a good argument]

Only because my skincare regiment's been rudely interrupted! All this dry desert air is doing nothing for my pores.

[Ahsoka bites her bottom lip. She tries to keep a straight face.

[Ahsoka just shrugs, still grinning.]

Why should I care how I age?

Why shouldn't you? Gotta maintain the whole—[ he motions to himself, up and down. ]—look, you know.

Why? It's not like how I look means anything.

Well, sure, but-- what I meant was, it doesn't actually say anything about me as a person.

I've met loads of beautiful people who were awful.

Well yeah, but it's a first impression, right? Why wouldn't you want the outside to match the inside? Put your best foot forward.

This might come as a surprise to you, but I don't really care about the opinion of someone who's going to judge me based on how I look.

Hey, it's a useful tool! [ Psh. ] Yeah, whatever, you're just jealous you don't look this good.

[She shakes her head with a little wry smile.]
